Frequently asked questions

For Employers

Hiring through HireBench.

How quickly will I see a shortlist?

Typically three to five interview-ready candidates inside five working days of agreeing the brief. Executive searches take longer and we agree the timeline up front.

What does “pre-vetted” actually mean?

Every candidate on a shortlist has been interviewed by the sector desk, skills-checked against your brief, referenced where possible, and confirmed on availability, salary expectations and right to work.

How do your fees work?

Nothing until you hire. Permanent placements are a percentage of first-year salary, contract roles a transparent margin on the day rate — the detail is on our how we charge page.

What if the hire doesn’t work out?

Every permanent placement carries a 90-day replacement guarantee: if they leave inside 90 days, we replace them at no extra cost.

Which sectors do you recruit for?

Eight sector desks: tech, finance, healthcare, marketing, engineering, sales, operations and design — see the industries section for the full picture.

For Candidates

Finding work through HireBench.

Does it cost me anything as a candidate?

No. Our fees are paid by the hiring company. Candidates never pay HireBench anything, at any stage.

How do I apply for a role?

Browse the live roles, open one that fits and use the application form — attach your CV and a recruiter from that sector desk reviews it within two working days.

What happens after I apply?

A recruiter reviews your application, and if it’s a fit you’ll get a call to talk through the role before anything is shared with the employer. We only represent you to a company with your agreement — and we give feedback to everyone we interview.

Can I register without applying to a specific role?

Yes — use the contact form, pick “I’m looking for a job” and attach your CV. We’ll match you against live mandates as they open.

Still have a question?

A recruiter can usually answer it in one short call.
